Just curious, have any of you asked your dealer to redact your address on the service paperwork? Obviously they need your address when you buy a car for the purpose of title and registration and I think there was some kind of residency form if I remember correctly but there should be no reason that the service department needs your address on the paperwork for the service advisors and shop personal. Just thinking there is a lot of people who could put their eyes on your address and with a popular car to steal that would not be ideal. I would think a person or organization looking to steal cars could slip someone at the dealership a few bucks for an address on anything worth stealing.

My first thought was you've watched "Gone in 60 seconds" one too many times but then I thought, anything's possible, I guess;)

I watch a lot of movies and I am familiar with Gone in 60 Seconds but I do not think I have ever watched it from start to finish. I would think that sophisticated car theft rings would have a way of identifying targets other than just driving around but I really do not know. I would think getting intel from people working at car dealers, working at detail shops, working as valets etc... would be one tactic.
