Damn proud of it a couple of times. Cannot get more specific but it is running real well. In two ways. Running well in comparisons …. AND not necessary to get gas at a pit stop everyone else was frequenting. 19 mph.

Not exactly the weekend I wanted. Finally got the new axles and they appear to be too long. Got the knuckle on but wouldn't move in far enough to get the arms to bolt on. I did have a diff seal leaking so changed them both out. Saturday pulled apart Sunday back together. I have pulled axles a few times but for some reason I have an abs light on I can't figure out. Maybe I damaged one of the tone rings when I swapped them this time View attachment 182153 View attachment 182154

It's much easier just to drop the diff a bit to put them in

Abs light is due to ABS tone ring. What brand axles did you put in that were too long?

Looks like they 100% sent you a wrong axles they have have had tags on them with the same part number, should both be same length if DSS level 5, thats what I have

Was hot as hell today, even the bugs were hiding ! Got the Cat out for the 1st time in 3+ months for a cruise and she rolled over the 13k mile mark.
Just 2 months shy of her 10yr anniversary, longest I've ever kept a car

and you probably have no plans to get rid of it anytime soon...

I've thought about it as I find myself driving it less & less. If I did I would sell the Cat & GV70 and get a DDHC.

It is a very, very nice car with a unique design that stands out in the crowded lux SUV segment. The interior stands up to what I'd expect to find in 100K+ euro vehicles. Power is good, but sometimes hesitates if you push too hard. Build quality seems real good & my only real complaints are that it has too much nanny tech (some of which cannot be killed) and is too quiet (refined) for my adolescent, redneck core self . Net - it needs a lot less tech & a bit more sport IMO.
